**FOUNDER is the same as LAMINITIS, a disease of the hoof also called White Line Disease. This disease causes separation of the laminae, or white line in the hoof. Eventually, this will progress to weakness in the hoof, the coffin bone, a central support bone in the hoof, will rotate and in end stages, the bone will push right through the bottom of the hoof.
